Schedule: Flexible, AM Shift (8am-4pm)

The Engineering Administrator manages the administrative duties for the Engineering Department. You are responsible for reporting, safety training and documentation, inventory, purchasing, filing, documenting project progress, and tracking repairs. The Administrator is also responsible for the overall cleanliness, organization and security of the Engineering Shop and all other Engineering areas such as the cart corrals and both on and off-site storage locations. They assist with daily maintenance duties, projects and the Preventative Maintenance program as required. 

  • Oversees the efficient ordering, receipt, storage and inventory of shop parts, equipment, chemicals and supplies as well as maintains all logs, inventories, supply and vendor lists as needed to ensure proper accountability. 
  • Ensures that Engineering Department purchases remain within budgetary constraints under the supervision of the Chief Engineer. 
  • Organizes and files department paperwork, handles any daily, weekly, and monthly reporting responsibilities  
  • Repairs and services equipment and items brought to the shop, ensuring that they are in proper working order before being placed back into service. 
  • Maintains shop equipment and tools. Ensures that items are in good working order, that the proper signing in and out of tools takes place, and that tools are properly secured, daily.  
  • Ensures compliance to all Bluegreen SOPs, OSHA requirements, and any other local, state and federal regulations pertaining to the Engineering department and/or Engineering operations, maintaining records or reporting associated with those areas.  
  • Coordinates and conducts safety training with proper documentation and tracking in compliance with Bluegreen Risk Management requirements. 
  • Assists with daily maintenance duties as needed. 


  • Self-starter with a positive attitude that can take minimal direction and work towards completion with little supervision.  
  • Excellent phone skills, diplomacy, confidentiality, and professionalism to deal with issues of the utmost urgency and sensitivity.  
  • You have a minimum of two years maintenance experience, some supervisory, accounting or purchasing management experience preferred but not required 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as, daily administrative duties in a fast-paced, demanding environment.  
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
