Job Description

Purpose:

The Senior Financial Analyst provides analytical support for forward-looking financial and business-related projects, such as expense variance, depreciation, capital expenditures and labor. The Senior Financial Analyst will leverage strong accounting and compliance backgrounds to explore historical financial data, predict future results and drive process and policy improvements.

Responsibilities:

Develops and analyzes data sets using large spreadsheet applications with complex formulas.
• Prepares Variance Analysis and Operational reports for various Business Units.
• Prepares ad hoc and scheduled reports for Executive Group and Business Units using a combination of OLAP tools and advanced Excel techniques.
• Performs statistical analysis and develops financial/statistical models.
• Assists with monthly and annual Budgeting and Forecasting process.
• May support Lawson Accounting data uploads and report maintenance and creation.
• May support Treasury function related to Cashflows and Balance Sheet.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or IT related field.
5 years of finance or business experience, with experience in roles directly supporting and working with Operational managers.
GAAP knowledge. Proficiency in the use of MS applications, with expertise in Excel.
Strong understanding of finance and accounting and the ability to draw upon knowledge to produce accurate reports.
Strong working knowledge of OLAP tools required (Microstrategy preferred). Strong understanding of database concepts and relational models.
Ability to create and execute new processes, as well as improve inefficient processes.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities.
Good communication skills.
