Job Description

Duties include answering general questions, data entry into payroll and HR systems and answering benefits, performance management and associate relations questions. The HR Specialist communicates with all levels of personnel and alerts management of the Company to any issues that require immediate attention. The HR Specialist also assists with compiling data often used for associates annual reviews and terminations. Requires the ability to analyze data, run reports, and provide requested information. Exit interviews and paperwork associated with the termination process are handled in this role, as is compliance with labor and wage and hour laws.

Responsibilities:
• Prepares employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting and terminations associates
• Explains HR policies, procedures, laws and standards to new and existing associates
• Ensures New Hire Paperwork is completed and processed in a timely manner
• Addresses employment relations issues and escalates to HR Manager in cases dealing with harassment and violations associate with labor laws.
• Conducts training sessions for all new store managers including extensive training in the AS400 Kronos application
• Provides recommendations and guidance to Regional Directors related to the Administrative functions performed by Store Managers.
• Works directly with Human Resources Manager in recognizing trends that could result in improved department efficiencies and then assists with implementation training in the field.
• Coordinate the resolution of performance/policy related problems and issues and sends all correspondence to HR Admin for scanning to personnel file.
• Performs specific research/investigation into operational issues such as inability to log into systems and then provides guidance on how to resolve the issues.
• Facilitates timestamp password resets for employees
• Facilitates Ultipro onboarding password resets for employees
• Provides Ultipro User Names for all new hires to Managers
• Processes all payroll to include, punch adjustments, PTO and Holiday Pay.
• Acts as liaison for Corp HR / Payroll directly with Management Team for missing documents or additional paperwork requirements.
• Facilitates guidance and training for annual open enrollment initiative and assists associates with ultipro enrollment process.
• Processes internal system access forms for New Manager setup
• Process Vendor Request Forms with accounting to establish Coupa and Concur accounts.
• Process new hires in Sales Alliance and inactivate upon termination
• Circles Space Maintenance
• Monitors and calls associates with Benefits reminders
• Assists associates and Managers with progressive discipline and associate relations issues
• Runs Rep commission reports for payroll purposes
• Enters commissions into Kronos for payroll
• Assists with special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

• College degree preferred or minimum work related experience of 4 years or more in the HR field.
• 4 - 6 years
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Customer service and quality fundamentals, MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, company’s intranet system and corporate policies and procedures.

• Outgoing; able to converse with customers.
• Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately, strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization
