Job Description

Purpose:

The Director, Hotel Procurement is responsible for leading a team that executes and manages the procedures necessary for contracting with over 200 hotels that lodge Bluegreen vacation guests. The Director is responsible for researching, analyzing, negotiating and contracting for the development and optimization of hotels to generate direct and indirect cost and revenue or/savings for Bluegreen.

Responsibilities:

• Acquires and manages property partnerships dedicated to room night agreements for timeshare product. The role is responsible for developing marketing relationships across Bluegreen for hotel agreements that achieve a lower financial cost of room nights as directly related to timeshare fulfillment.
• Accesses targeted wholesale level market segments at lowest cost for room nights.
• Analyzes hotel attributes to determine what hotels provide the best value accommodations to lodge vacation guests.
• Identifies and initiates relationships with key properties and plans for each property to lower contracted rates.
• Develops and provides ongoing oversight of Buyers who are accountable for capturing, managing relationships, and updating the status of all property partnership agreements, ensuring that like terms are consistent and that contracts are completed, enforced and renewed on a timely basis.
• Leverages hotel partnerships on behalf of strategic and tactical marketing objectives
• Negotiates partnership agreements for room nights lowering costs and achieving upsell targets.
• Reviews and makes appropriate suggestions for adjustments in processes, procedures and expenses throughout the fiscal year to ensure optimal financial results.
• Initiates and directs collaborative efforts of multiple teams including external resources and other constituent groups as appropriate: includes establishing and maintaining regular communications with constituent groups as appropriate.
• Utilizes key financial and statistical information in support of the organization’s core objectives.
• Facilitates communication and cooperation across multiple teams to ensure broader understanding of and collaboration on core strategic goals.
• Budgets and manages two Hotel Procurement Buyers to achieve goals, budget oversee hotel use, and allocations for each use year.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field

5+ years related experience
3+ years Management experience
Previous experience in Timeshare Hotel Procurement, Marketing, Hotel Management, or Hospitality Yield Management.

MSOffice Suite
Proven expertise hotel operations, providing win-win consultative services in a highly-matrixed environment and selecting, growing, and optimizing relationships with hotel property partners.
Public speaking or presentations skills; including the ability to effectively address any audience or constituent group as appropriate.
Capability to originate and/or organize concepts, statistical data and other information for effective communication.
Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
Ability to develop problem-solving skills among other team members as appropriate.
Ability to evaluate and identify opportunities from a strategic perspective, including ability to develop, prioritize and implement plans to meet organizations core strategic goals (including budgetary responsibility as appropriate).
Ability to set standards for leadership by example, including ability to affect change, resolve conflicts and ensure collaboration within appropriate executive levels of enterprise; includes maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity.
