Job Description

Purpose:

The Manager, Benefits is responsible for the recommendation of design, and overall implementation, communication, and administration of the Company’s benefits programs. Ensures that benefit programs support the Company’s strategic objectives and meet all legal requirements. Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication strategies related to benefits offerings and education.
  • Lead the Benefits function, providing mentoring, guidance and direction as it relates to the administration of the programs and development of the team.
  • Develop, conduct and review RFP process for benefits vendors.
  • Oversee vendor management process.
  • Recommend, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Lead annual 401k audit and coordinate Form 5500 filing.
  • Review, analyze and lead efforts through integration of benefits programs leading into and following mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop methods to improve processes and efficiencies and recommend changes to senior management.
  • Provide consultation and advice to business leaders and managers on compliance, technical, systems, or process-related topics for benefits.
  • Oversee tracking and reporting process, ensuring applicable metrics are available for compliance and as needed by senior management.
  • Ensure benefit accruals and expenses are properly set up and reviewed for accuracy and aligned with Accounting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in management level position, with extensive exposure to health/welfare and 401k plans, process improvement and employee communications.
  • Knowledge of benefit and employment laws, as well as competitive benchmarking process. Strong systems knowledge required. Dayforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Being detail oriented with organizational skills is critical to this role. Associate must have strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Must have ability to manage deadlines and multiple competing priorities. Strong technical skills and systems acumen required.
