Job Description


The Web Software Engineer works in a collaborative environment with a team of front-end, back-end and integration developers, UX designers and Product Owners. The front-end engineer will adhere to web development best practices, compliance requirements, and standards. They’ll work with UX designers on prototypes, and with the back-end developers to architect and implement web-based software solutions.


  • Executes the full software development lifecycle in both a waterfall and Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Designs, develops, and tests web software applications & contributes to UI/UX best practices.
  • Designs and implements solutions to achieve intuitive user experiences while keeping the underlying platform extensible, scalable, and secure.
  • Foundational experience in developing CMS solutions leveraging data structures and asynchronous programming techniques.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Delivers web solution designs that are responsive, cross-platform compatible and optimized for performance.
  • Develops the front-end for components and pages on the Sitecore and WordPress platforms
  • Analyzes and refines requirements related to website development and collaborates with Product Owners and Scrum Team.
  • Performs object-oriented systems analysis and designs solutions based on CMS best practices.
  • Adheres to web-development best practices to meet Bluegreen standards such as ADA compliance, internal approvals, UX style guide, taxonomic tagging, and search engine optimization.


  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 5-10 years of work experience in one or more of the following: HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, JavaScript, and Azure databases.
  • Experience using React or other Javascript Frameworks for UI component libraries
  • Experience with CMS development, preferably Sitecore
  • Experience using task tracking tools such as Team Foundation Server, Jira or Similar
  • Experience with source control systems such as Team Foundation Server, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Team City and source control management practices.
  • Ability to write clean, scalable/modular code through source control. Git required.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile-first responsive web development. Experience designing website navigation, creating and presenting wireframe design artifacts.
  • Experience or working knowledge of Bootstrap and AngularJS is a plus.
  • SCRUM training/experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SOC3, PCI, GLBA, WCAG, and other technology compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Travel Industry Experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity developing with CSS preprocessors (LESS, SASS, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of current web development languages and standards (including HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, SASS/LESS, JavaScript/jQuery).
  • Understanding of web principles & standards including but not limited to: usability, interface design, development, analytics, and accessibility.
  • Should be knowledgeable in MSOffice Suite, Sitecore, C#, ASP.NET MVC
  • JavaScript, HTML/HTML5 (Bootstrap HTML Framework), CSS/CSS3 (LESS/SASS Compilers)
