Job Description

The purpose of the Assistant Manager of Guest Service is to assist in managing the daily operations of the front desk, reservations, and maintain proper working relationships between the front desk and all other departments. As the Assistant Manager, Guest Services, you must be a hands on and visible front desk staff member, as well as be able to lead by example.

Responsibilities:

•Assist in coaching, counseling, and developing of Guest Services Associates as necessary. Provide input into the performance appraisal for Guest Services Associates.
•Schedule the Guest Services Associates to meet the needs of the Resort.
•Perform Front Desk duties as necessary.
•Assist in maintaining continued training for Guest Services Associates.
•Ensure the satisfaction of all guests by ensuring the timely resolution of all guest/owner issues.
•Prepare daily reports as directed by Guest Services Manager.
•Perform daily checks of all audits to ensure SOPs are being followed.
•Manage the resort inventory to attain the highest yield per resort objectives. Provide training to all Guest Services Associates on proper reservation procedures.
•Provide input into the development of Guest/Owner relation programs.
•Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); Associates Degree is preferred

Minimum of 2 years Front Desk experience & 1 year supervisory experience

Knowledge of daily operations of front desk, reservations, yield management and problem resolution. Must have excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with associates and Guests/Owners. Need to have the ability to supervise a staff of 2-5 associates.

Knowledge of Vacation Ownership is not required but preferred. Customer service and quality fundamentals, MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, company’s intranet system and corporate policies and procedures.

Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately, strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization
