Job Description


The Project Manager (PM) is an Information Technology professional at Bluegreen Vacations Corporation who has overall accountability for delivering technology projects. The Project Manager will plan and direct the project lifecycle activities for multiple, concurrent projects.  Project managers are accountable for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed.


•Manages project from creation though project closeout including design, contracting, procurement, FF&E, renovation, and construction – including external designers and procurement agents.

•Leads all project efforts with stake holders within the department and other company personnel.

•Prepares and reviews contracts, change orders, RFP/RFQ’s, pay applications, meeting minutes, inspection reports, letters, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and any other documents or means necessary to fully deliver assigned projects.

•Prepares reporting as required communicating updates to the project’s scope, budget and schedule including project forecasts with overall cost to complete projects and schedule guidance.

•Review plans for compliance to Bluegreen Design Standards, inspects construction projects, conduct investigations and provide recommendations related to planning, design, construction, order changes, design modifications and contract administration to assure compliance with established rules, regulations, guidelines and procedures.

•Serves as liaison between resort teams, corporate office executives and architects, contractors and other outside agencies; respond to inquiries and provide information concerning construction activities; consult local officials to assure compliance with laws and regulations.

•Maintains internal and external contacts with interface organizational areas, vendors, customers, etc., to obtain information, cooperation, and results.

•Assists in evaluating potential project acquisitions, solicits bids and proposals for site work and building construction and negotiates contract terms and conditions.

•Coordinates all requirements for governmental permits and inspections and supports the needs of the Legal Department relating to the project registration process.

•Other responsibilities as assigned.


•4 yr Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field

•5+ yrs experience as a Project Manager

•Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) desired but not required. 

•Business Requirements Gathering

•Functional Specification Documentation: Use Case Specifications,Use Case Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams.

•Project Management Lifecycle

•Traditional & Agile PM Methodologies

•Project Planning, Scheduling, Tracking, & Reporting

•Risk & Issue Planning (Identification, Mitigation, Resolution)

•Project Scope/Change Control

•Presentation Skills (Management level)

•Contract/Services Negotiations Skills

•Vendor & Partner Relationship Management

•Change Management (Configuration)

•Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

•Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills

•Knowledge of Database Concepts

•Strong Diagnostic & Analytical Capabilities

•Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio)

•Other Tools: JIRA, ServiceNow and Clarizen experience preferred

•Experience managing Enterprise projects

•Familiarity with technology financial management, governance and security, data management, and operations activities.

•SQL/Query Tools desired but not required

•Travel & Hospitality Experience desired but not required     

•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and vendors

•Strong attention to detail

•Excellent verbal and written skills 

•Ability to identify issues quickly and facilitate discussion for resolution

•Ability to identify risks and develop proper mitigation plans

•Ability to prepare formal management presentations 

•Ability to organize and conduct effective meetings
