Job Description

Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Project Management Office manages the day-to-day activities in the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure business programs and projects meet organization standards, goals and requirements throughout development and execution. This position implements and provides guidance related to PMO processes and policies and collaborates with other departments to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. The Senior Manager, PMO ensures that project information (e.g., deliverables, risks, issues) passes to and from sponsors and stakeholders and maintains accurate tracking and reporting for each project They will also complete project management tasks as required related to specific projects.

Responsibilities:

• Establishes the policies, procedures, documents and templates associated with the PMO.
• Ensures that the project methodology incorporates structures, standards, processes, documentation and reporting that fits the needs of the project and puts emphasis on quality decision making and timely project delivery
• Assists and advises project sponsors and stakeholders to the best use of project management disciplines and approaches within a fast-paced, environment
• Acts as a reference point for PMO queries and information and an advocate for best practices in project management
• Shares lessons learned and best practices across programs, building relationships with sponsors and stakeholders
• Participates in the development of projects that may consist of new products, programs, and software, process efficiencies, and new business lines
• Completes project management tasks as required including developing and managing project plans, creating and managing budgets, risk/issue management and remediation, business change management, and reporting
• Understands the deliverables of internal and external PMO stakeholders and contribute to success through collaborative processes
• Contributes to the development of approved business plans, operating plans, budgets and capital expenditure requests in line with Bluegreen strategic goals and objectives
• Establishes and manages processes supporting the project sponsors, streamlining communications between stakeholders and project sponsors and driving the meaningful and efficient debate of priorities and resource availability
• Maintains processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete
• Tracks and reports on project performance, providing a real-time, comprehensive, and prioritized view of all projects
• Monitors project costs and schedules ensuring appropriate controls are in place to assess changes and impact
• Assists in the monitoring and communication on the project status including actual vs budget, variances, project risks key decisions, etc.
• Contributes to the flow of communication within the team, by actively participating in team meetings
• Prepares and submits reports as required by the project sponsor or executive team
• Ensures familiarity and compliance with all Bluegreen products, programs, policies and processes.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant program required with PMP Certification,
preferred
4 years proven PMO/Project Analyst experience and knowledge of project
management in the Vacation Ownership, Real Estate, Travel Club or
Hospitality industries
Understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project
management
Proven experience in providing service to internal and external stakeholders to
achieve successful project outcomes
Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced
business environment
Customer service and quality fundamentals, MS Office Suite
Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills and an
entrepreneurial nature. Bottom-line focused and able to react quickly to
changing market conditions and business development needs. Must enjoy a
constant challenge in a fast-paced work environment, be focused on the
bottom line; and able to react quickly to ever changing office dynamics and
market conditions. Candidate must have strong computer skills and technical
aptitude to compliment a strategic outlook to any project. Detail oriented with
strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong ability to think strategically
and analyze information timely and accurately, strong interpersonal
communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization
