Job Description

Purpose:

The Social Media Manager is responsible for leading the development of Bluegreen Vacations' social media channels to drive engagement from current and future owners. This role administrates the creation and publishing of relevant and original content that resonates with our target audience. This role also manages our online reputation as it pertains to online reviews that will encourage increased business.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and implements social media campaigns that will increase brand awareness and sentiment.
• Manages brand efforts to attract positive reviews and disarms and rectifies negative feedback to maintain a positive online reputation.
• Shares rich, compelling stories that directly connects with Bluegreen Vacations followers on an emotional level to cultivate their affinity for our product, vacation ownership.
• Plans timely marketing messages in collaboration with resorts and leadership.
• Manages Social Media team to be the first responder to Social Media posts with a fast path to Customer Service or Reservation agents for inquiries requiring further follow-up.
• Empowers current owners by providing helpful information (ie: links & contact info) to enrich their customer experience.
• Implements and maintains a calendar of social media posts and ideas.
• Shares monthly social media calendar with business stakeholders and the marketing department.
• Collaborates with various areas of the business to build out the social media calendar.
• Reports on engagement, growth, sentiment, and ranking.
• Manages the social media budget (paid social ads) to maximize our efforts in creating a social community, maintaining a social following (number of likes), growing (increasing the number of followers) the social community and generating activated vacation package sales.
• Keeps pace with social media industry trends and developments.
• Works closely with Creative team to generate images and videos for creation of social posts.
• Implements a proactive process to generate happy, loyal customer reviews online.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, management or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience
8+ years of experience in marketing with a focus on web/digital channels. Experience in data analysis of customer trends

In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, online communities and enthusiasm for experimenting with new communications technologies. Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Google Analytics, AdWords knowledge, Social Media Campaign Management, On-page optimization, Wordpress and Sharepoints CMS, Auditing and reporting.
Creative thinker with strong background in the use of digital communications and web based transactions. Quickly adapts to change and manages multiple shifting priorities. Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately. Team-oriented, ability to work under tight deadlines, organization skills, proficiency with all major social networks. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the confidence to interact with all levels of the organization.
