Job Description


The Senior Business Analyst leverages a strong BI and compliance background to explore historical financial data, predict future results and drive process and policy improvements.


• Develops and analyzes data sets using large spreadsheet applications with complex formulas.
• Works with business partners to produce actionable analytic strategies and develops advanced statistical models to influence organizational decision making.
• Prepares ad hoc and scheduled reports for the Executive Team and various business units using a combination of OLAP tools and advanced Excel techniques.
• Uses analytical problem-solving techniques to resolve issues and identify opportunities.
• Develop and update dashboards, KPI measures and other tracking tools
• Prepares annual budget models and provides forward-looking analyses.
• Serves as the subject matter expert for both Microstrategy and TM1.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or IT related field.
5 years of finance or business experience, with experience in roles directly supporting and working with Operational managers.
GAAP knowledge.
Proficiency in the use of MS applications, with particular expertise in Excel.
Strong understanding of finance and accounting and the ability to draw upon knowledge to produce accurate reports.
Strong working knowledge of OLAP tools required (Microstrategy preferred). Strong understanding of database concepts and relational models.
Ability to create and execute new processes, as well as improve inefficient processes.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities.
Good communication skills.
Business-oriented, results-oriented, detail-oriented, decision-maker, self-directed, self-starter, evaluation, and planning capabilities, with ability to analyze information timely and accurately.
