Job Description

The Spa Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the spa. Responsible for the efficient and courteous operation of the front desk including maximizing spa bookings as well as ensuring all procedures and protocols are being followed by the spa staff. Coordination of appointments, and spa staff. Maintains proper working relations within the departments.

Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter spa.
• Maintain a positive, professional appearance/manner at all times.
• Check guests in/out.
• Accommodate guest needs by booking, confirming and/or changing appointments.
• Assess and resolve conflicts or issues in a professional timely manner.
• Collect balances/monies and post appropriate charges.
• Properly distribute cash gratuities.
• Answer/return phone calls using proper telephone etiquette.
• Run end of shift reports.
• Open and close out credit card transactions and cashier audit reports.
• Deliver appropriate end of day paperwork and make necessary money drops.
• Weekly retail inventory.
• Maintain gift certificate log.
• Training of front desk staff.
• Training of all spa staff for massage/body treatment protocols.
• Inspection on work stations to ensure State Board standards are being met.
• Ensuring the Spa staff uses their work time efficiently
• Prepare daily work schedule for spa staff, coordinating bookings with staffing.
• Monthly voucher billing.
• Assist in increasing spa revenue through in-house and local community marketing.
• Maintain a clean/orderly spa, including cleaning and stocking.


Job Requirements

1 – Minimum Formal Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent

2 – Minimum Experience:
1 year of Spa experience, 1 year of customer service experience in a hospitality related field. Strong computer skills.

3 – Essential Training, Knowledge, Licenses and /or Certifications:
Maintain a current State Board License in one or more of the following:
Massage Therapy, Esthetics, or Nail Technology.

4 – Essential Professional Skills/Competencies:
Strong communication skills. Multi-tasking is a must. Able to work independently. Flexible to deal with ever-changing situations.
