Job Description

The Quality Assurance Auditor will provide independent, structured assessments to measure the attainment of well- defined quality standards by each resort in scope. This position will report findings and make recommendations to leadership on opportunities to increase resort quality from the perspective of both attainment and enhancements to existing standards. This includes opportunities to share best practices, accelerate green initiatives and identify training and development gaps.

• Maintain subject matter expertise on all resort quality standards and ensure appropriate changes are incorporated to SOP’s and audit templates are determined via the strategic direction of the Director of Sustainability and Quality Assurance
• Conduct on-site resort audits in accordance to current quality standards and SOP’s for resort portfolio twice per year. This includes assessments on general policies, common grounds, facilities and interior units. Evaluate green initiative and ratings as well incorporate customer satisfaction measures into audits. Also responsible for assessment of resort specific or seasonal topics, as required.
• Consistently document and calculate results of each audit (both individuality and collectively) and report findings to local resort management and corporate resort leadership. Provide insight on findings and recommends for improvement.
• Partner with resort leadership and Learning and Development team to assess training needs to regarding quality standards and operating procedures. Conduct training as required to ensure consistent understanding of SOP and standards.

Job Requirements

MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL 75% of the time.

•A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience is required.

• 5+ years of experience in hospitality or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in quality audit or process improvement field.

• The individual must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform these essential functions of the job:

• Experience in conducting quality assurance audits or process analysis

• Familiarity with the tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management.

• Ability to objectively determine compliance or noncompliance with requirements by the use of skilled observation.

• Ability to articulate and justify compliance ratings through consistent application of quality standards.

• Excellent analytical abilities to grasp the key points from complicated details.

• Experience in developing SOPs in for quality assurance and compliance.

• Ability to assess current policies and recommend improvements to existing quality standards.

• Ability to create and maintain advanced level reporting.

• Excellent organization and planning skills.

• Self starter with excellent time management skills, managing work and travel effectively.

•Effective verbal and written communications skills including report writing and presentations.

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, leadership, influence skills. Requires a highly diplomatic and tactful individual with exceptional critical reasoning skills who is detail oriented.

• Quality assurance fundamentals, customer service techniques, communication techniques, productivity and performance management techniques, budget techniques, quality management, MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access, internet explorer, Company’s intranet system, corporate policies and procedures.

• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, influence and communication skills. Business-oriented, results-oriented, decision maker, self-directed, team-player, assertive, creative, strong analysis, evaluation, and planning capabilities, excellent interpersonal relationship and communication (written and oral) skills to negotiate and obtain desired results, as well as to coach people, to make presentations, to be part of business meetings, and to interact with interface organizational areas, customers, vendors. Team spirit and enthusiasm required.
