Job Description

Our luxury property, Eilan Hotel & Spa located in the San Antonio hill country is currently looking for talented a Line Cook. The cook is responsible for their own station and the general par stock and cleanliness of the overall kitchen. The cook needs to know how to follow recipes, weights, and measurements associated with cooking. The line cook will work in our fine dining restaurant outlet and/or banquets.

Responsibilities:

• Cook orders in a timely manner and making sure they are presented according to the restaurant's standards.
• Clean work area throughout shift and when finished, help to dispose of trash after each shift.
• Wear proper uniform, work as a team player and use prescribed cost control measures to ensure profitability.
• Follow SOPs for food preparation, making sure our product is fresh and prepared to restaurant specifications.
• Stock inventory deliveries and kitchen product needs.
• Ensure the satisfaction of all guests by preparing and presenting each dish in accordance to the SOPs, and following up through communication with wait staff.
• Maintain all Health Department guidelines, and ensure the kitchen is maintained in a clean and orderly manor at all times. Maintain all foods to strict Health Department Temperatures at all times.
• Assist Chef in preparing order lists and communicate with the following shift any important information concerning daily business.

Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year Line Cook experience
School or trade school preferred, but not required.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including, weekends and holidays
