Job Description

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the laundry department to include but not limited to: scheduling, training and motivation of the associates.

• As a working supervisor, the Laundry Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the resort’s laundry department including providing a clean and safe working environment for all associates.
• Responsible for prioritizing and managing the work and workflow of the laundry and developing an effective linen distribution system throughout the resort. Meets all production quality standards.
• Providing a quality product that meets or exceeds company and guest standards.
• Responsible for working within budget guidelines (i.e. hours, wages, and controllable expenses)
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all associates and vendors.
• Assist the Director of Housekeeping in completing accurate monthly linen inventories.
• Assist the Director of Housekeeping in developing strong internal controls to minimize loss of linen and other products.
• Responsible for tracking/measuring associate production and improving productivity.
• Associate relations and training.
• Responsible for associate scheduling, training and motivation.
• Assist the Director of Housekeeping with scheduling, disciplining, training and motivation of laundry associates.
• Responsible for ordering supplies.
• Ensure that the laundry machinery is working properly and will be working together with the maintenance department to ensure preventative maintenance is done on all laundry machinery.
• Ensure that all employees follow proper grooming, safety, training, and guest service standards.
• Ensure all pertinent information is communicated to the Director of Housekeeping and Assistant Housekeeping Manager in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED)

• One year of prior laundry management experience preferred.

• Must be PC proficient and have the ability to work under minimal supervision.

• Must be available to work any shift necessary to ensure adequate coverage at
all times. Customer service and quality fundamental, MS Office Products.
