Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for backup support to the HR Administrator in reviewing and entering all
associate information into the PowerSource HRIS system and other assigned HR tasks. This includes and is not limited to
new hire paperwork, terminations, performance appraisal, disciplinary notices, status changes, unemployment and
verifications of employment. The Human Resources Assistant will also be responsible for document imaging/scanning of
all personnel, payroll and benefit documents.

 Provides backup support to HR Administrator for the review and maintenance of HR related paperwork for new
hires, status changes, terminations, adjustments, rehire approvals, etc.
 Provides backup support to HR Administrator for entering and maintaining a high volume of HR paperwork
including hires, adjustments and terminations to comply with federal and state laws as well as company policies
and procedures.
 Follow-up with field offices regarding missing and/or incorrect documentation
 Reviews processed paperwork prior to interface with the payroll system.
 Verifies personnel information that is document imaged.
 Completes verification of employment and unemployment claims for designated regions.
 Assists in the creation of acquisition packets.
 Assists with general clerical support and assist with special projects as needed.
 Prepares/Verifies all personnel hard files for scanning, including new hire information, terminations, background
checks, etc. Verifies all documents are scanned properly and filed appropriately in the computer database.
 Ensures all terminated files are scanned and lines are dropped timely.
 Gathers/receives information from the system as needed.
 Maintains hard copy files and shreds already scanned documents.
 Maintains all Manager Guides and mails binders to new managers upon request.
 Runs weekly adhoc reports.


Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

1 – 2 years of clerical/administrative experience and/or HR experience

Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Synergy
Knowledge of State requirements

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to clearly communicate information and ideas orally and in writing.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and good follow through skill
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
