Job Description

The Engineering Inventory Specialist manages the administrative duties of the Engineering Department. They are responsible for inventory, reporting, safety training and documentation, purchasing, filing, documenting project progress, and tracking repairs/replacements. In addition, they are responsible for the overall cleanliness, organization and security of the Engineering Shop and all other maintenance areas such as the cart corrals and both on and off-site storage locations. The Specialist assists with daily maintenance duties, projects and the Preventative Maintenance program as time permits or as assigned by Management.

• Performs monthly inventories of maintenance parts and supplies, maintaining appropriate par levels, ordering
inventory, sourcing vendors and contractors; maintaining logs, vendor lists, Internal Audits, Quality Assurance Audits,
and Loss Prevention Audits.
• Performs quarterly Tool Inventory and other Annual Inventories per SOP.
• Coordinates with Regional Inventory Specialist to ensure required inventories are uploaded per SOPs.
• Ensures that purchases remain within budgetary constraints under the supervision of Chief Engineer.
• Maintains that standards are followed in terms of the health, safety, hygiene and security in the maintenance shop
and all designated maintenance storage areas (on site and off site).
• Oversees the planned maintenance of machinery, equipment, and vehicles (including annual Vehicle Audit including
vehicle inspections and vehicle registrations).
• Organizes and files department paperwork, handling daily, weekly, or monthly reporting responsibilities.
• Ensures the proper signing in and out of tools, and ensure that tools are properly secured daily.
• Ensures compliance to Bluegreen SOPs, OSHA requirements, and any other local, state and federal regulations
pertaining to the maintenance department and/or maintenance operations and maintain any records or reporting
associated with those areas.

Job Requirements

1- High School Diploma or Equivalent

2- 2 years of maintenance experience; some supervisory, accounting or
purchasing management experience preferred, but not required

3- Good computer skills and knowledge of MSOffice Suite.
General knowledge of maintenance parts, equipment and supplies.
Ability to handle basic maintenance services and repairs.
Knowledge of general accounting principles to ensure proper tracking and
budgeting of expenditures.
EPA certification preferred, but not required.
CPO certification preferred, but not required

4- Follow-through skills for both short-term and long-term programs.
Ability to multi-task.
Flexibility to deal with changing needs of the department and Management.
Excellent oral/written communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to
interact with a wide range of people.
Must be a self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision.
Frequent lifting of supplies and equipment is required
