Job Description

The Purpose of the Corporate Director of Housekeeping is to provide strategic vision and operational oversight for the rooms division to fulfill our brand promise and Core Values Responsible for overall quality of the guest experience working in concert with corporate operations leaders across all disciplines.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:

• Develops strategic objectives and goals for the company and ensure timely execution of these objectives into key components of the resort’s operation in concert with Operations team members.
• Analyzes services issues, identify trends; design & implement improvement strategy.
• Monitors asset condition and collaborates with Reserves planning, identifies product failure, determines trend and collaborates with cross-functional team to define solutions.
• Develops an operational strategy to increase all aspects of service delivery and staffing levels needed to maximize budget goals.
• Develops and enforces cleaning protocol and process for the care of all common area, flooring and unit interior.
• Monitors and assess service and satisfaction trends and evaluates and addresses issues, systems and procedures to make improvements accordingly.
• Develop and communicate a division strategy/ message regarding departmental goals to produce metrics that meet and exceed department performance expectations.
• Collaborates to create improved processes and management methods to generate higher performance
• Critically analyzes all guest experience metrics; including but not limited to Medallia, Trip Advisor, AES and other indicators as they evolve
• Provides regular and effective updates to the Senior Leadership team on the performance of housekeeping performance and the leaders in the region.
• Actively participates in operations meetings and senior staff meetings at the corporate office; responsible for briefing corporate colleagues on noteworthy issues in assigned areas of responsibility
• Reviews guest feedback with leadership team and ensures appropriate corrective action is taken.
• Reviews reports and financial statements to determine Housekeeping operations performance against budget.
• Responds to as needed and handles guest problems and complaints.
• Ensures the voice of the customer is heard throughout the company utilizing whatever resources are necessary to fulfill the trilogy.
• Maintains and encourages a culture of sustainability by hiring, training and leading to support team and guest facing initiatives and practices.
• Builds and maintains a sustainability focused culture and execute initiatives to enliven this culture such as paper friendly practices, less than tokens, and ensuring team members are fluent in sustainable amenities and features.
• Accountable for brand standards, service initiatives, the guest experience, guest feedback trends and actions to address issues, talent development and retention.
• Oversight for regional support teams in housekeeping.
• Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward.
• Hires vacancies, responsible for the execution of the talent strategy for the department, develops a strong bench and program for retention.
• Mentor talent to foster the Bluegreen Vacations service experience through GPS, RELP, LEAD, iAdvance Succession Planning and maintain a personal connection with High Potential Leaders.
• Maximizes associate performance and positive morale by serving as an ambassador of Bluegreen Vacations Core Values.

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Hospitality or Business preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience Housekeeping Management

MSOffice Suite. Should have specific knowledge of Resort and Hospitality. Timeshare knowledge is helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong customer service and leadership capabilities. • Strong attention to detail with outstanding organizational skills. • Ability to effectively assess and address workplace issues which may include, anticipating, identifying and preventing problems
