Job Description

The Reservation Support Specialist is responsible for assisting all departments in booking reservations in Concierge and AS400. This position also assists in acquiring additional inventory and ensuring that availability is correct in Concierge. The Reservation Support Specialist also provides support to the Call Center.

• Upgrade packages and destination changes including transferring money
• Book, modify, and cancel reservations in AS400
• Assist reservations with calls when in queue
• Assist with checking daily commissions
• Fax in date requests and hotel changes including close in arrivals/cancels
• Take over phone calls and supervise department when management is out of the office
• Assist other departments requesting hotel/ resort inventory/ AS400
• Contacting each site/ hotel/ welcome center when inventory needs to be requested or canceled
• Sell vacations to guests through Alliance and mail out information
• Load resort rates into concierge
• Create/ Update hotel sheets
• Ensure that the outdoor traveler mailbox is checked on a regular basis
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, Knowledge, Ability, etc.):
• Open Availability - Nights & Weekends REQUIRED
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in timeshare industry preferred
• One years experience in a call center or customer service environment
• Very strong sales techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Self-motivated, positive, hardworking individual
• Must be extremely organized, able to multitask, have excellent problem solving skills and demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment in pressure situations
• Demonstrate working experience with MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
