Job Description


The Manager of Program Development is responsible for executing and managing programs from initial concept through launch. This would include ideation and development of new and/or enhancements to existing programs and benefits, on-boarding of new alliances, vendors, clients, or third-party resort developers, and delivery and/or upgrades of new resorts/inventory, and sales centers. Responsibilities may include coordinating project intake, performing research and design of new programs or initiatives, developing the project plan, negotiating agreements, engaging stakeholders, performing analysis, communicating with project sponsors and other leaders, managing the implementation, process development and creating reporting. Position could interact with potentially every department within the organization, requiring a detailed and organized candidate who can function in a multi-tasking environment. Program development and management, process development and management, project management, and reporting analysis are typical daily tasks. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate strong critical thinking, conceptual thinking and decision making skills to create new programs or identify issues affecting the implementation.


• Project manages, develops, and implements new and/or enhancements to existing programs and benefits, on-boarding of new alliances, vendors, clients, or third-party resort developers, and delivery and/or upgrades of new resorts/inventory, and sales centers
• Manages the research and development process for new programs or enhancements to existing programs, applying design thinking best practices to develop recommendations that will follow an iterative process through research, development, and testing
• Assists with negotiation of benefits and services with vendors
• Facilitates contract executions and other legal reviews
• Compiles and presents justifications for new initiatives, project requests, and inventory/sales site requests for senior leadership approval
• Communicates, coordinates, and collaborates with internal stakeholders including securing alignment, overcoming objections, gathering data, presenting findings, managing timelines, and ensuring compliance to the project plan
• Creates and manages implementation project plans, defining project phases and timelines, and delivering results as defined stages throughout the launch process
• Provides on-going and as-needed reporting of new programs, identifying KPIs, associated metrics, and performing analysis to identify trends
• Provides ongoing support, vendor management, and program management for existing programs and various online/software partners, which may include implementing program process or technology enhancements, marketing updates, contract negotiation, performance tracking
• Oversees deliverables with all internal and external partners including, marketing materials, scripting, presentations, communication tools, SOPs etc.
• Understands the terms of client/vendor agreements to property manage transactions and expected results
• Defines and maintains processes to ensure project management documentation, reports and plan are relevant, accurate and complete
• Provides cross functional support to other areas as needed
• Able to effectively zoom-in and zoom-out – high level focus on the bigger picture while getting in the details to ensure flawless execution.
• Highly proficient with developing clear, visually appealing presentations in PowerPoint and/or other presentation tools
• Onboards, manages, and develops direct report associates and new hires

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• 4 years of related experience and a proven track record with project development and management in the Vacation Ownership, Real Estate, Travel Club, Hospitality or comparable industries.
• Strong proficiency with computer applications, such as MS Office Suite
• Experience with project management applications is a plus
• Understanding the principles and frameworks of successful project management
• Proven experience in providing cross functional service to internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
• Understanding of project delivery and acceptance processes within a fast-paced business environment
• Customer service and quality fundamentals
• Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial nature.
• Bottom-line focused and able to react quickly to changing market conditions and business development needs.
• Must enjoy a constant challenge in a fast-paced work environment, be focused on the bottom line; and able to react quickly to ever changing office dynamics and market conditions.
• Candidate must have strong computer skills and technical aptitude to compliment a strategic outlook to any project.
