Job Description

Purpose:

The Buyer, Hotel Procurement is responsible for executing and managing the process necessary for contracting with over 100 hotels that lodge Bluegreen vacation guests. The Buyer is also responsible for the daily operations of communication, analyzing, and managing the relationships with contracted hotels that lodge Bluegreen vacation guests.

Responsibilities:

• Manage property partnerships dedicated to room night agreements for timeshare product. The role will be responsible for relationship management across Bluegreen with third party hotels, to secure allocations for rooms nights and secure competitive wholesale level rates for room nights contracted directly related to timeshare fulfillment.
• Proven expertise hotel operations, hotel management, or B-B procurement management. Position will be consultative in nature in a highly-matrixed environment and critical to managing day to day relationships with property partners.
• Access targeted wholesale level market segments at the lowest reasonable cost for room nights.
• Analyze hotel attributes to determine what hotels provide the best value for accommodations to lodge vacation guests.
• Initiate first contact relations with key properties and execute standard operating plans for each property to lower contracted rates.
• Work with leadership to ensure contracts are completed, enforced, and renewed on a timely basis.
• Leverage partnerships and relationships to achieve company goals.
• Negotiate with assistance from leadership to secure partnership agreements for room nights achieving reasonable cost per night and upsell targets.
• Reviews and makes appropriate suggestions for adjustments in process/procedure.
• Collaborates with multiple internal teams and external resources and other constituent groups as appropriate: includes establishing and maintaining regular communications with multiple hotels operations staff as appropriate.
• Utilize key hospitality metrics to achieve core objectives.
• Identify, prioritize and implement with integrity to fulfill responsibilities in keeping with core strategic goals.
• Budgets allocations for each use year for assigned markets.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
2+ years of related experience.
Previous experience in Timeshare Hotel Procurement, Marketing, Hotel Management, or Hospitality Yield Management.
MSOffice Suite.
Ability to communicate with hotel owners and staff to effectively initiate contact and manage the procurement process.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively address issues in collaboration with partner hotels to achieve win-win results.
Ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems within the scope of the position.
Ability to develop problem-solving skills among other team members as appropriate.
Ability to evaluate and identify opportunities within an assigned market including ability to develop, prioritize and implement plans to meet organizations core goals.
