Job Description

Purpose:

The Project Manager (PM) has overall accountability for delivering application development projects. The Project Manager will plan and direct the project lifecycle activities for multiple, concurrent projects. Specifically, this position is a Project Manager with deep Salesforce expertise ideally on both Marketing and Service Clouds. This role is instrumental in the successful design, implementation and long term utilization of the Salesforce Platform. The Project Manager will oversee implementation vendors and internal resources to design and deliver on the Company’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies resource requirements (defined skills, competencies, roles and responsibilities) to assemble the project team
• Leads and directs cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of quality, scope, schedule and budget, developing good working relationships with both internal and external business partners
• Conducts ROI analysis and business case studies for project approval
• Performs business process evaluation in efforts to improve current processes in place within both the business and technical communities.
• Ensures that all project deliverables are completed according to plan
• Works closely with business sponsors and internal IT teams to evaluate the business scope/objectives, assess impacts to the project and develop the most cost-effective and efficient solutions.
• Develops detailed status reports and summarized executive updates
• Ensures that project objectives are aligned with the business needs with the project sponsors
• Works with team in resolving existing system and/or project related issues
• Builds a high-performance team by leading, mentoring, motivating and inspiring individuals to meet the project requirements
• Communicates and collaborates with both internal and external technical resources in order to derive technical and functional solutions to address both tactical and strategic business issues and initiatives.
• Develops, organizes and manages issues, risks, actions items, change control and communication plans
• Ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls
• Coordinates project deliverables across all areas of the organization and with vendors
• Alerts management to project issues such as cost, schedule or scope changes
• Negotiates resolutions to project issues where cost, schedule, scope or quality are at risk
• Monitors project budget against actual costs incurred
• Reviews and signs off on all project deliverables
• Manages the vendor procurement and evaluation processes when soliciting software or services from technology partners.
• Ensures that development managers are informed of the required resource needs for successful project delivery
• Tracks project metrics (SPI, CPI, requirements exposure, quality control, etc) to effectively manage scope, cost, quality and the schedule
• Identifies, documents and communicate lessons learned
• Provides performance feedback on project team resources

Job Requirements

A deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and experience in implementing large scale projects within Salesforce is essential.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field
5+ yrs experience as a Project Manager
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) desired but not required. Functional Specification Documentation: Use Case Specifications,Use Case Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams.
