Job Description

Purpose:

The Incentive Compensation Lead proactively leads the Incentive Compensation processing, reviewing, analyzing and auditing of both automated and manual incentive compensation plans. This includes set up, payments, and adjustments to ensure that incentive compensation payments and programs are paid in accordance with the approved compensation plans. The Lead works with management to ensure the correct incentive plans are set up and administered accurately and paid both correctly and timely.

Responsibilities:

• Provides response for incentive compensation payments inquiries which require research.
• Processes weekly, monthly and annual incentive compensation for regular commissions, bonuses, overrides, and if applicable, chargebacks.
• Reconciles actual payments to the compensation plan adhering to appropriate controls.
• Processes manual incentive compensation plans while researching for automated solutions.
• Analyzes compensation data for ongoing payments as well as special projects.
• Coordinates with payroll to ensure associates are paid both accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepares reconciliation reports for over or underpayments.
• Maintains SOPs and Training Guides, recommending changes for streamlining or automating processes.
• Prepares and maintains process flow and documentation in Blue Works Live.
• Serves as a power user for developing self-service reports in Microstrategy BI.
• Maintains incentive compensation changes for system updates.
• Collaborates as a part of the project team for all incentive compensation system implementations.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or HR highly desired.
1-3 years’ experience in incentive compensation, plus a working knowledge of incentive compensation strategies and programs.
Payroll experience a plus.
Strong grasp of MSOffice Suite. Working knowledge of Incentive Compensation Management programs is helpful.
Close attention to detail is required.
Must be assertive and not apprehensive about asking questions of various levels in the organization.
High level of confidentiality and discretion is important.
Excellent organizational skills
Must be a team player
