Purpose:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for executing and supporting the People Strategy in support of the Bluegreen Vacations Resort Operations Team and will have human resources oversight for multiple Bluegreen Vacations sites within the Resort Operations Division. This individual will provide coaching and guidance on a variety of human resources topics including associate relations and Company policies and procedures. This role will be the primary point of contact and driver of the succession planning, talent management, and performance management processes.

This individual will deliver people and organizational solutions from an enterprise viewpoint and measure/monitor the needs of associates by building and developing relationships across all levels of the organization. The HRBP will utilize diagnostics to address and understand organizational dynamics, implement and refine long and short-term continuous improvement activities while managing day-to-day people issues.

The HRBP is a highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships with all levels of associates within the organization and possess the ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment. This position carries the expectation of being highly influential and motivational within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on human resources topics daily to operations leaders and associates
• Act as a single point of contact for internal clients
• Support internal clients in achieving their business goals
• Work closely with associates and management to build morale, improve working relationships, and increase retention rates as well as productivity
• Lead the performance management, succession planning and talent review processes for area of assigned responsibility, design robust succession pipelines; develop and maintain data to report on bench strength, successors and development needs
• Identify training needs for individuals and teams; Design cross functional development programs in cooperation with Talent Development team.
• Partner with leaders and the Talent Development Team to craft impactful Individual Development Plans (IDPs) to address skills gaps and prepare associates to take on expanded responsibilities within the organization
• Identify and analyze operational/associate trends and statistics on a regular basis; brainstorm with HR leadership and operations partners on methods of improvement and/or sharing of best practices.
• Lead change management projects for internal clients and human resources; Act as the project manager for large cross functional change management projects as needed
• Conduct impactful HRBP site visits to resort locations
• Act as the independent advisor for associates in tough situations
• Investigate associate complaints and other serious matters in accordance with Company policy and applicable laws, with guidance when necessary Legal and HR leadership; provide guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to operations leadership
• Collaborate with Talent Development, as necessary, on the review and development of field management and associate training modules to ensure consistency with HR practices, policies and procedures and alignment with Federal and State laws
• Facilitate training (live or virtual) on employment laws, HR-related procedures, Company policies and other leadership initiatives
• Partner with HR leadership and operations managers on elevated associate leave of absence matters to ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA or other applicable laws
• Analyze metrics and trends with HR and operations leadership; make recommendations and implement solutions to pro-actively address issues
• Conduct climate assessments as needed or requested by Senior leadership and provide operation analysis and recommendations for improvement
• Facilitate exit interviews, analyze data, identify trends and develop strategies for increasing retention, and improving associate engagement
• Assist Resort Operations leadership with the performance management process; provide support in the form of training and counseling on proper discipline, documentation and development techniques; review and draft, as necessary, written disciplinary documentation and recommendations on appropriate performance management actions.
• Proactively consult with leadership on associate, managerial, organizational and business issues that impact performance and achievement of objectives.
• Work with operations partners to ensure compliance with HR requirements, including, but not limited to new hire on-boarding, payroll and benefits processes
• Ensure HR processes are in full compliance with the legal and regulatory internal and external framework
• Assist senior HR leadership and Senior Corporate Counsel by gathering information to respond to agency charges and complaints, attorney demands, EthicsPoint complaints, arbitrations and lawsuits; assist outside counsel directly when requested.
• Review, interpret, administer and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies and procedures; provide guidance on the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures
• Support HR Centers of Excellence to deliver state of the art Human Resources processes
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement on all HR processes procedures and initiatives
• Provide recruiting and hiring assistance to management on an as needed basis
• Utilize influencing skills to gain support and buy in for HR initiatives and projects
• Assist senior HR leadership with crisis management support, as necessary
• Effectively balance the needs of multiple sites and priorities

Job Requirements


• 5+ years as an HR Generalist and 1+ years of HRBP experience.
• Hospitality or Timeshare background strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership track record in guiding team members towards desired outcomes, setting high performance standards and delivering quality service.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, presentation and public speaking skills.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and strategic planning skills.
• Proven relationship building and consultative strengths; ability to establish and maintain customer relationships and build trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, issues and deadlines.
• Experience effectively coaching others through complex, difficult and emotional issues.
• Experience developing and sustaining relationships across multiple levels of the company.
• Highly collaborative, innovative and creative in approaching and accomplishing all work.
• Strong associate relations skills with a proven track record of handling compliance issues with a high level of independence and objectivity.
