Job Description

Purpose:

The Funding Specialist I is an essential position within the Funding Team. This position has various duties and responsibilities, which include data entry, document control, pulling of loans, balancing monthly reports and preparing wire requests.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pulling files and ship to custodian or lender for possible sale or hypothecation of loan.
• Request weekly or monthly, files from various custodians after paid, defaulted or canceled loans, based on lender criteria.
• Receive returned items from custodian and que to Lien Release Department for process and or shred file.
• Data entry of recorded mortgage information and mail the Recorded Documents and Title Policy to the appropriate custodian or lender or file in In house loans. To be completed within 24-48 hours of receipt.
• Data entry of recorded assignments, make copies when applicable, mail to appropriate custodian and give a copy to scanning for scan and file in scanning system. To be completed within 24-48 hours of receipt.
• Pull weekly assignment report and prepare schedules for assignment preparation
• Balance and review monthly exception reports from custodian assuring all exceptions are clear within established timeframes per lender agreement.
• Download recorded assignments from online recording
• Prepare wire request for online recorded assignments

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Mortgage Banking, Secondary Marketing, or Title Environment
• Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of loan documentation
• Proficiency of Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to utilize other various computer applications
• Must be Detail oriented
