Job Description


The End User Technology Lead is responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction and execution on Desktop Management-related technologies with a focus on end user experience and risk reduction. The Associate is fully
responsible for the Desktop Management process including workstation imaging, software deployment, patching, operating system and web browser certification, mobile device management, definition of group policies, and work order ticket management. The End User Technology Lead will manage a Desktop Support Analyst, the end-point patching partner and the mobile device management partner.


• Works with the business and executives to translate requirements into technical solutions that fit within the overall Enterprise Architecture plan
• Creates a Desktop Management roadmap that aligns to overall IT strategy
• Works with executive team to build solutions for home offices that integrate seamlessly with corporate systems
• Researches and innovates constantly to lead product and service roadmap discussions and execution
• Identifies reoccurring tickets with a focus on long term solutions
• Architects and supports all end user hardware and software (e.g. Windows desktops, laptops, and tablets, Mac devices, O365, Adobe, etc.) including virtual environments
• Manages workstation images and automate the imaging process
• Manages mobile devices consistently and securely
• Architects and manages System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to effectively manage the desktop environment
• Certifies new operating systems and web browsers in the Bluegreen environment and plans their deployment for minimum business interruption
• Patches operating systems, software, and firmware effectively and consistently per the Patch Management process
• Creates related Desktop Management standards, processes, and policies
• Creates and modifies Group Policies (GPO’s) and scripts as needed to improve and automate the user experience
• Adapts ITSM and ITIL best practices
• Works closely with IT Security, Risk & Compliance, and audits the desktop environment to ensure compliance
• Proactively seeks and mitigates risks in the desktop environment and stays educated and vigilant with zero-day risks
• Manages Desktop Management work order ticket queue and minimize aging tickets
• Acts as senior escalation point for technical issues related to end user technology
• Manages related vendors and work with new and existing partners
• Manages Desktop Administrator and related responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years minimum experience
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Experience working in a dynamic and stressful environment with a strong sense of urgency. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate to users at all levels both written and verbal.
