Job Description


The Director of Telemarketing Vacation Sales oversees and provides leadership to the various phone sales areas of the call center, including but not limited to Call Transfer Vacation Sales, various Sweepstake Lead Outbound Vacation Sales, and Inbound Vacation Sales from a variety of sources. The Director of Telemarketing Vacation Sales will oversee the sales effort and ensure client expectations and sales process expectations are met or exceeded. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to overseeing the daily operations of the departments such as interviewing, scheduling, hiring, training,
monitoring and coach and counseling. working with leadership of other departments to achieve company goals. The Director of Telemarketing Vacation Sales will ensure all team will maintain the high company standards as well as
meeting company targets.


• Oversees day to day operations of the Telemarketing Sales Departments including dialer functions
• Meets or exceeds company performance targets and financial budget
• Interacts with other departments to resolve issues or answer guest questions
• Reviews / generate reports –lead penetration, agent productivity, lead count, dialer stats
• Focuses on performance of employees by putting emphasis on work rules, policies, procedures, behavioral
• competencies and minimum standards
• Trains, monitors, counsels, and motivates agents
• Ensures Usage and APG is at or above minimum target.
• Keeps refund and NQ % at or below minimum standards.
• Maintains conversion percentage, hours per package, pitch percentage, connects per sale and overall activation rates are at or above minimum standards. Email collection to remain at or above standards.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of telemarketing management experience of contact centers
of at least 200 seats or more.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Multi-tasked, self-starter with
strong organizational and follow through skills.
Excellent group presentation skills
Highly proactive, self-motivated and be able to take the initiative
Strong problem-solving ability; solid analytical and critical thinking skills
Must be detail and deadline-oriented and be able to work independently while
maintaining a high level of confidentiality
Must be extremely organized and able to interact with personnel and potential
candidates. Must have a sense of awareness to the candidates’ experience.
Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate directly,
clearly, and concisely.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude; able to work effectively with all levels and from various disciplines.
Flexible and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Technical proficiency with software applications: MS Office. Experience with
telemarketing dialer functions, including understanding of dialer call metrics
and dialing capabilities such as predictive, progressive and preview dialing.
