Job Description

Purpose:

Digital Media Developer brings to life sales, marketing and ownership initiatives through high-quality, compelling video content by effectively telling the stories of our resorts, destinations and experiences. Produce, direct and manage video content in support of social media, brand marketing, corporate and owner communications initiatives in conjunction with Senior Imaging and Video Developer. Responsibilities include overseeing video production/direction, digital asset management, and recommendations on digital media strategy. This position will work closely with the Creative Group, Corporate Marketing and Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities:

• Produce and edit content (images, video, audio) in support of brand websites, social media, mobile sites, mobile applications, and internal communications.
• Develop all aspects of storytelling through the use of images, video and music by utilizing skills in pre- and post-production with a clear expertise in editing.
• Maintain digital media / video assets, organizing files and metadata.
• Ability to ideate and brainstorm with marketing and digital storytellers; drawing from knowledge of film production to conceptualize, develop and deliver work product that exceeds the expectations of stakeholders.
• Closely collaborate with Creative Director, Marketing Communications and Senior Imaging & Video Developer to deliver the proper content in a timely fashion.
• Stay abreast of new trends in content and technology in the editing, motion graphic and video production communities and suggest and share new ways to implement these trends and technologies.
• Coordinate large-scale projects as well as small-scale (intranet and internal videos, event footage, b-roll footage).
• Ensure consistency with documented positioning and Bluegreen Vacations voice, as well as overall clarity and effectiveness of content.
• Effectively communication ongoing project status with stakeholders.
• Execute editing and motion design services in entirety on selected projects.
• Collaborate with Content Team on the creation of new, compelling content for our various digital channels.

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience with graphic design, photography or film and video production.
5-7 years’ experience as an editor. Must have experience with Premier, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects to efficiently navigate projects – also a command in music and sound editing required.
• Proficiency in the following programs: Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• 3D graphic experience a plus
• Strong understanding and knowledge of non-linear video and graphic production workflows, organization, and storage.
• Strong understanding of the latest video compression techniques for web and broadcast delivery.
Strong visual design skills with respect to motion, composition, color, and effects.
Must be able to handle the pressure of fast paced, short deadlines as well as managing long term projects. The ability to collaborate with project managers, creative directors, and writers to plan, evaluate, design, and produce effective advertising material and videos. A working knowledge of the unique requirements needed to optimize video for digital video platforms and social networks. Familiarity with professional HD digital photography. Experience working as part of a team is required.
