Job Description


The Data Analyst - Information Technology (IT) will be responsible for supporting the development, analysis, and reporting of IT metrics. The Data Analyst will support data quality, identify and interpret data patterns and trends, build data visualization and self-service dashboards for management, help ensure the integrity of IT data, develop timely and accurate data mining techniques and work with stakeholders to establish key performance indicators.


• Familiarity and understanding of IT governance, operational, and software development data.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Identify data gaps within the IT portfolio.
• Develop effective solutions and respond promptly to internal/external client analysis requests.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather data and fill the gaps.
• Assist in the development and analysis of reporting on areas of service management, operations, governance and business solutions as well as IT portfolio of work (projects and resources).
• Develop and assist in the implementation of additional management reporting and administrative support activities as directed and as needed.
• Will conduct detailed analyses using MS Excel, using functions including but not limited to tools and data management, pivot tables, formulas (i.e. VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, INDEXs)
• Responsible for technical enhancements and updates to the Portfolio and Resource Management Solution.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to understand business requirements and provide direction/guidance on what is considered best practices for reporting solutions
• Proactively search for ways to automate, improve and, streamline processes, build team collaboration and add value for our customers.
• Maintain accurate data in IT tracking application tools used for IT KPI reporting.
• Plans and implements data collection, reporting, and analysis systems for the evaluation and assessment of BXG programs, projects, and support services.
• Designs and coordinates manual and computerized systems to collect data; conducts statistical analysis of data to determine program success and effectiveness.
• Interprets assessment and evaluation requirements set by the BXG IT Senior Management Team and Sr. Manager, Performance Management.
• Presents program evaluation results to BXG staff and management, and community (external to BXG as well as internal BXG business partners) as requested.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline
• Working knowledge of project coordination and management, the SDLC, and general IT project and service offerings.
• Working knowledge of statistics and program evaluation techniques and processes.
• Completing and overseeing a variety of evaluation assignments across BXG IT's programs, projects and services.
• Advanced proficiency in MSOffice Suite
• Self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as well asindependently to support your clients.
• Must be a team-player, able to work collaboratively and partner with your colleagues, both in office and as part of a remote team.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills; independent thinking and creativity. Considerable independent judgment needed to make decisions in carrying out assignments that have significant impact on IT support, project or program offerings.
• Able to manage under pressure and tight deadlines - good stress management
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests, track details and manage change
• Capacity for high productivity with repetitive work and an ability to handle ambiguous information
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to learn complex internal software programs
• Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
