Job Description

Purpose:

The Copywriter works independently and as part of the Creative Group to increase response and engagement by spearheading the development and editing of benefit-oriented, response-driven content in all its forms.

The Copywriter initiates creative brainstorm meetings to develop new campaigns and marketing strategies, and writes and edits supporting content. They conceptualize original story ideas for digital and print mediums while working with the editorial team to refine, research and review these concepts. The Copywriter is an in-house resource for questions or issues regarding grammar, spelling, punctuation, word usage, themes, and writing style. As an expert in the English language, they will make decisions on such issues and is part of the content/editorial team. The Copywriter plays an integral role in making decisions on Bluegreen's editorial and branding guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualizes, drafts and reviews benefit-oriented marketing content across a range of channels, including direct mail pieces, emails, landing pages, headlines, brochures, pitch cards, PPC campaigns, microsites, ecommerce funnels and more.
• Develops various sales/marketing resources and tools as needed.
• Tailors messaging for various target markets to achieve meaningful engagement while protecting our core brand.
• Manages a portfolio of copy assets to ensure our brand messaging is available, current and on-point.
• Remains informed of new marketing technologies and trends and how they can impact our efforts.
• Ensures consistency with Style Guide and Bluegreen Vacations voice, as well as overall clarity and effectiveness of content.
• Reviews the work of other marketing writers for quality and consistency.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience
• 5-7+ years marketing copywriting experience
• Copywriting experience to include: direct marketing/advertising web content, web marketing (email, landing pages), proofreading, editorial for magazine or
similar type publication.
• Experience with SEO content writing and social media writing
• Solid understanding of marketing writing concepts including proven experience with benefits-driving, action-oriented copy, ability to adapt to brand voice and champion its use across all mediums, forward-thinker who possesses a deep understanding of motivators of common consumer behavior
• Proficiency in written and verbal communications
• Should be flexible, patient, diligent and have good time management skills, communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse creative personalities.
