Job Description


The Senior Systems Analyst (SSA) supports the delivery of an upcoming business critical and complex ERP system, focusing on data migration. The SSA will partner with the business team to gather requirements around the data domains being migrated, perform the in-depth analysis to lock-in requirements and provide the necessary artifacts to the development team. They will serve as the technical SME to the IT developers to bridge the functional behavior of the ERP to the data needs that will drive the expected behavior. Leveraging their analysis and design techniques, they will recommend suitable solutions based on intended outcomes defined by the business users. The SSA proposes business process changes as needed and in turn supports the efforts to implement those changes.


• Works with business partners to obtain/define requirements.
• Provides input to Project Manager related to project schedules and project status updates including identification of risk and escalation of critical issues.
• Manages business requests submitted by business partners and see them through implementation.
• Adheres to SDLC processes and ensures that all reporting or project tracking needs are met.
• Develops and executes test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Works with other IT team members in resolving existing system issues.
• Coordinates end user acceptance and gather necessary approvals to migrate changes to the production environment.
• Develops post implementation maintenance support procedures.
• Maintains solid working knowledge of functionality of existing applications and systems.
• Investigates and proposes technical solutions to business related system issues to recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solution considering existing systems, available technology, desired results, and business partner needs.
• Documents and maintains detailed functional & technical specifications from which system changes can be developed.
• Ensures integration of automated business functions and their related data across impacted applications or tools.
• Develops and maintains business process models and internal IT functional documentation for areas of responsibility.
• Develops good peer to peer working relationships with both internal and external business partners.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field
• 2-4 years of professional experience in developing business/reporting requirements, functional specifications, user interface specifications and documenting process flows;
• 2-4 years of experience working in one or more of the following roles is highly desirable: Quality Assurance analyst, System Analyst, or Data Analyst with SQL query skills
• 2-4 years of experience working with the implementation of enterprise class solutions and data warehousing or Business Intelligence is highly desirable Travel and Hospitality Experience desired but not required
