Job Description

Purpose:

The Change and IT Asset Analyst minimizes risk from changes to maintain a stable technical environment, maintains control of all computer/network/software-related assets obtained by the Information Technology Departments, and administers the IT Service Management ticketing system.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures adherence to Change Management standards, procedures, and processes.
• Reviews change requests to ensure they meet the established completion criteria.
• Reviews schedules of changes to identify time, conflicts, and risks associated with requested changes.
• Approves or rejects submitted change requests, with a small percentage requiring review outside of normal business hours.
• Chairs meetings that review changes, such as Change Advisory Board (CAB)/Change Review Meeting (CRM).
• Recommends process enhancements and continue improvement opportunities that are based on ITIL best practices and industry standards.
• Conducts post implementation review and coordinates closure of all changes.
• Provides change-related artifacts to auditors.
• Executes controls of application object change reconciliations.
• Administers Asset Management tool (BMC Client Management).
• Maintains accurate inventory of all IT hardware and software assets through full lifecycle.
• Performs physical inventories and audits.
• Performs server reconciliations with Ops team.
• Develops and provides detailed asset reports.
• Coordinates and enforces asset compliance with asset custodians.
• Ensures asset tags are placed on all new IT equipment and recorded in the Asset Management tool prior to deployment.
• Administers IT Service Management ticketing system and works closely with support vendor.

Job Requirements

• Associates Degree in a relevant field.
• 2-4 years working in Asset and Change Management
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate an ability to identify dependencies and coordinate complex technology.
