Job Description

The Business Analyst is an Information Technology professional at Bluegreen Corporation who is responsible for performing analysis and developing business requirements. This individual is involved in many aspects of the project life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, training and implementation. He/She supports business partners in relation to their business application needs and works closely with business partners and IT members to understand end-to-end business processes. The Business Analyst is required to perform business analysis by gathering, clarifying, researching, analyzing and documenting business requirements as provided by business partners for use in designing, integrating and implementing custom built or packaged software applications. He/She produces documentation as input in determining solutions that meet business needs while being cost effective.

Furthermore, the Business Analyst must coordinate communication and collaboration among internal and external technical resources in order to derive technical and functional solutions to address both tactical and strategic business issues and initiatives. Responsibilities include providing project team and business partners with status on initiatives, performing detailed data analysis and business process evaluation in efforts to improve current processes in place within both the business and technical communities.

• Work with business partners to obtain/define requirements
• Provide input to Project Manager related to project schedules and project status updates including identification of risk and escalation of critical issues
• Manage enhancement requests submitted by assigned business partners
• Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts
• Work with Application Development teams in resolving existing system and/or project related issues
• Coordinate end user acceptance and gathering necessary approvals to migrate changes to the production environment
• Develop post implementation maintenance support procedures
• Maintain solid working knowledge of functionality of existing applications and systems, where applicable
• Assist in research and evaluation of technical solutions to business related system issues to recommend most efficient and cost effective solution considering existing systems, available technology, desired results, and business partner needs
• Document and maintain detailed functional specifications from which system changes can be developed
• Ensure integration of automated business functions and their related data across impacted applications or tools
• Develop and maintain business process models and internal IT functional documentation for areas of responsibility
• Develop good peer to peer working relationships with both internal and external business partners

Job Requirements

• 4 yr Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field
• 2-4 yrs professional experience in developing business requirements, functional specifications, user interface specifications and documenting process flows
• 2-4 yrs experience working with the implementation of enterprise class solutions is highly desirable

• Travel & Hospitality Experience desired but not required
• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment with limited supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) and present a professional image
• Ability to organize and conduct effective meetings
• Ability and desire to learn new technologies and software feature usage, often in a self-starting mode
