Job Description


The Bankruptcy Clerk is responsible for maintaining, processing, and documenting owner records with information related to bankruptcy proceedings and communicating with the Mortgage team, Collectors, and Owners regarding customer bankruptcy matters. The Bankruptcy Clerk ensures that proper actions are taken on accounts to protect Bluegreen’s interests by responding to requests from both internal and external stakeholders.


• Processes bankruptcy documents, and updates customer loan and Maintenance Fee records.
• Responds to Mortgage debt validation requests.
• Processes Bankruptcy filings and recording information.
• Tracks and defaults bankruptcy accounts.
•Assists the Mortgage and Maintenance Fee collectors and owners with questions regarding a bankruptcy filing.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates’ Degree preferred
1-3 years general office experience with data entry and scanning. Bankruptcy experience a plus.
Knowledge of Chapter 7 and 13 Bankruptcy preferred.
Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Detail oriented, organized and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
