Job Description

PURPOSE:
The Account Receivable Specialist is responsible for promptly posting owners’ payments, reconciliations, and settlement of monies posted. In addition, they will process refunds, conduct payment research, check the general ledger (GL), and coordinate reporting with the Accounting department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for ACH, Lockbox, and credit card processing and posting, along with refunds.
• Process bonus time reservations, housekeeping and cancellation fees.
• Reconcile bonus time taxes and charges at month end for Vacation Club and Corporate Accounting.
• Process Traveler Plus and LeisurePath renewals, check refunds, and reconciliation of deposits.
• Shift 4/TSW reporting reconciliation.
• Posting all payments reported by collection agencies.
• Assist with month beginning and month end procedures/reconciliation.
• Sorting of mail and checks received from the lockbox.
• Assist with researching and posting check payments received from owners.
• Preparation of bank deposits for owners checks, general ledger (GL checks, title transfer payments, and other Corporate payments received within the accounts receivable department for processing).
• Process ACH payments and ACH returns.
• Research owner issues via Salesforce cases assigned to Financial Services Accounts Receivable team, within established turnaround time expectations.
• Process Encore MF redemptions.

Job Requirements

Associates Degree or two-year technical certificate preferred
1 year Accounts Receivable and administrative experience preferred
Strong MS Office skills, specifically in Excel.
General knowledge of accounting and accounts receivable.
Experience with AS400 a plus.
Aptitude for strong customer service.

Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Ability to lead by example and take active ownership and accountability with projects and apply received knowledge.
Ability to multi-task high priority projects with competing deadlines.
