Director of Engineering - Cibola Vista Resort
Cibola Vista Resort and Spa located in Peoria, AZ is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer (Director of Engineering) to lead the Maintenance and Grounds Department, a team of over 20 associates. Nestled between Lake Pleasant and Phoenix, the resort provides the perfect vacation experience for guests and their families. As an integral part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring each owner and guest receives an unparalleled vacation experience.

POSITION DETAILS:
- Ensure all maintenance and public area SOP's are being followed as outlined.
- Accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance of the resort through proper supervision and management of maintenance, technical and public area staff.
- Assist as required in solving complex maintenance problems.
- Direct the implementation of maintenance plans with consideration to operational and budgetary constraints.
- Schedule and perform routine/preventive/emergency maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Work with other department managers to schedule and coordinate inspections and repairs.
- Responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of maintenance staff.
- Manage and achieve all areas of budgets by implementing proper cost controls i.e. :purchase orders/inventory, reviews/bids, etc.
- Establish both short and long term budgets and forecasts for maintenance. Display sound judgement in regards to managing cost control measures.
- Provide outstanding guest satisfaction and courteous cooperation with fellow associates in all departments.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as operation needs dictate
- 4-year college degree and/or trade school certification strongly preferred
- 8+ years in the Maintenance Industry
- Minimum of 6 years in leadership capacity, preferable in resorts or timeshare operations
- CPO, OSHA 30, EPA Universal strongly preferred
- HOTSOS experience strongly preferred
- Possess strong budgeting, scheduling, and communication skills
