Job Description

The purpose of the Manager, Food & Beverage is to manage the daily operations of the Restaurant, Bar, Dining Room,
and Banquet Facilities and to coordinate with other departments and catering event contacts.

  • Responsible for maintaining proper working relationships between the restaurant and all other departments.
  • Coordination of back of the house for special events.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, continued development of all staff and managing a staff of 30 or moreassociates.
  • Responsible of performing appraisals of all staff as outlined in SOP’s.
  • Manage the restaurant inventory to attain the highest yield per F&B objectives and conduct daily inventory
  • checks.
  • Manage and achieve all areas of budgets and monthly financials by implementing proper F&B controls and menu
  • creation.
  • Ensure the satisfaction of all guests by implementing and maintaining proper Guest/Owner relation programs andmaintain the resort comment card and other grading systems standards.
  •  Develop and maintain progress reports and program tracking for management review and communicateprograms and results to appropriate parties.
  •  Manage point-of-sale data entry including menu updates,cost and pricing updates, and reporting.
  • Set up and track incentive program for F&B associates

Job Requirements

1 – Minimum Formal Education: Associates Degree, 2-year technical certificate or required experience

2 – Minimum Experience: 2 years minimum in Food and Beverage hospitality experience within a large
high-end resort or hotel. Five years of management experience.

3 – Essential Training, Knowledge, Licenses and /or Certifications: Must have knowledge of daily F&B operations, yield management and problem resolution. Needs the ability to supervise a staff of 20-30 associates. Must be
PC proficient..

4 – Essential Professional Skills/Competencies: EMust have excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with associates and
Guest/Owners. Must have follow-through process on short-term and long term programs, strategic thinking, business-oriented, results-oriented, decision maker, self-directed, self-starter, assertive, creative, strong analysis, evaluation, and planning capabilities, strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills, as well as to coach associates, make presentations for department meetings, and to interact with interface organizational areas, customers, vendors, etc.
