Job Description

The purpose of the Evening Resort Manager is to assist in managing the resorts evening operations including development and training of the resorts evening staff and maintaining Owner/Guest satisfaction within established budgets and Quality standards. The Evening Manager is responsible for maintaining the resorts assets, and assisting in all financial responsibilities of the resort. This person is accountable for assisting in management of Rooms operations as it relates to inventory, maintenance, housekeeping, and insuring a secure atmosphere for the resort staff and its guests. Supervises 5 – 10 associates.

 Assist in recruiting, training and continued education of all staff. Perform appraisals of resort staff, coach, and council and develop all resort staff. Organize monthly meetings and perform follow up to all staff. Maintain procedures for orientation, training and development of all associates. Interaction with evening staff regarding issues of guest satisfaction and resort projects not limited to scheduled assignments. Responsibilities include conflict resolution between all staff as deemed necessary in accordance with resort SOPs.
 Inventory Management
 Ensure the resorts inventory is managed effectively to attain the highest yield per resort objectives. Participate in monthly weekly management and staff meeting meetings.
 Controls/Budgets/Financials
 Assists in preparing and submitting the resorts annual business plan. Assists is managing and achieving all areas of budgets by implementing proper controls. Periodically checks audits to ensure all financial controls. Ensure all financial SOP’s are being followed as outlined in the Financial SOP checklist.
 Guest/Owner Relations
 Maintains personal contact with owners/guests of resort. Monitor and maintain procedures for safety of guests and personnel. Maintains high levels of service as outlined in the SOP manual which includes but not limited to Front Desk, Maintenance, and Housekeeping. Perform weekly common area inspections of the resort to ensure quality. Handle issues pertaining to guest satisfaction with the ability to make decisions on behalf of the Resort Manager in regards o necessary compensation.


Job Requirements

1 – Minimum Formal Education: High School Diploma
2 – Minimum Experience: 3 years Hospitality Management/Supervisor
3 – Essential Training, Knowledge, Licenses and /or Certifications: Knowledge of daily operations of front desk, reservations, and yield management. Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with associates and Guests/Owners
4 – Essential Professional Skills/Competencies: The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand. The ability to motivate and mentor staff.
