Job Description

The Supervisor, Engineering assists in managing the Resort Engineering technical staff to effectively maintain resort facilities, equipment, and property. The Supervisor is accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance of the resort through effective supervision of maintenance and technical service staff. They assist in the implementation of maintenance plans with consideration to operational and budgetary constraints. They Supervise overall activities of the engineering staff as directed by the Engineering Manager, keeping the team focused on customer service with an emphasis on maintaining the proper operation and appearance of the resort.

• Accountable for the safe and efficient maintenance of the resort through proper supervision of the Engineering service staff.
• Maintains current knowledge in OSHA safety regulations.
• Maintain proper working relationships between the Engineering staff and other departments of the resort.
• Utilizes HotSOS and ISM systems, when available.
• Assigns and verifies completion of routine maintenance on Guest units, grounds, public spaces, outlets, and back of the house common area spaces.
• Communicates effectively with the Engineering team to ensure they follow proper maintenance and safety procedures in their areas of responsibility.
• Ensures that all Engineering SOP's are being followed as outlined in the SOP manual
• Displays sound judgment with regards to managing cost control measures
• Implements maintenance plans with consideration of operational budgetary constraints.
• Schedules routine/preventive/emergency maintenance and troubleshooting of all facility equipment.
• Supports efforts to reduce energy consumption and seeks opportunities for energy savings
• Utilizes and communicates all Engineering policies, procedures, inspections and schedules, maintaining required logs and reports.
• Assists with the hiring process, interviewing, training, monitoring, motivating and supervising the engineering technicians. Assists with the annual performance appraisals, as well as, conducting monthly 1:1 meetings with the Engineering staff.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
Maintenance Technician 1 year
Should possess knowledge of daily resort operations and problem resolution.
Must have excellent inter-personal skills when deal with associates and guests/owners.
Need to have the ability to supervise a staff of 2-5 associates.
Knowledge of Vacation Ownership is not required but preferred.
Innovative and creative, action-oriented and energetic, good planning and management.
Must be able to interact with a wide range of people.
Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
