Job Description

The Banquet Server provides prompt and courteous food service to customers. They are responsible for the set-up, service and break down for assigned functions in a safe, accident-free manner

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities

• Read BEO and know how to complete a set-up.
• Arranges tables in assigned area correctly and uniformly.
• Maintain cleanliness standards while servicing guests per established policies and procedures.
• Uses proper in-room clearing and aisle tray break-down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
• Sets up/breaks down buffet or other special food service tables and equipment.
• Greets and serves guests following guidelines set by the policies/procedures regarding the service of food and beverages.
• Follows all guest check and money-handling procedures when serving a-la-carte and beverage orders.
• Remains attentive to the customers throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to service standards.

Job Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Prior banquet experience - Preferred
Food Handlers & Alcohol Awareness certification required (must comply with State regulations)
Must have follow-through process on short and long-term programs.
Communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to deal with ever-changing
situations.
