Purpose:

The main responsibility of the Rental Revenue and Reservations Specialist is to help customers with planning and booking reservations at Bluegreen Vacations Resorts.Under the general supervision of the Rental Revenue and Reservations Supervisor, this position will answer telephone calls, email and/or online inquiries from individuals interested in booking rental reservations. Responsibilities will include driving revenue utilizing a consultative/helpful selling approach, leveraging value and trust as key differentiators in converting inbound callers and inquiries to vacation renters.The Rental Reservations Specialist will work closely with their supervisor to proactively identify other revenue opportunities, respond to inquiries, resolving customer service issues related to rental reservations and ensuring our customers are left with a positive experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Convert inbound calls to nightly rental guests at Bluegreen Vacations resorts
  • Support reservation entry, quality control, modifications, and cancellation
  • Processing, follow up, and conversion of daily reservation lead inquiries
  • Delivery of exceptional guest service
  • Ongoing maintenance of guest and prospect files
  • Successfully offer and convert upgrades, up-sells, value-adds, cross-sells, stay extensions
  • Work closely with resort front-office team(s) to support rental guests’ reservations fulfillment
  • Guest/reservation support, troubleshooting, resolutions; including web channel support
  • Daily reporting and production assessment with Rental Revenue and Reservations Supervisor
  • Ongoing communication with Supervisor and Director regarding market demand, inventory availability, pricing feedback, call-to-booking conversion rates
  • Ongoing dialogue with Rental Revenue Management Specialist to support execution of effective revenue management, pricing, inventory yields, and promotional merchandising on all channels
  • Work with on-site property managers in each market to develop a catalog of amenities, special events, and places of interest within designated property and market areas
  • Work with Revenue Management Specialists to develop and manage a special event and key dates calendar within designated property and market areas
  • Develop voice-channel sales tools that will drive conversion, retention, and direct channel growth
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management Specialists on rate shopping and snapshot assessments of market competitive set rates and merchandising analysis
  • Support Supervisor with direct and third-party channel management and optimization
  • Third-party channel partner accounting, commission processing, parity, and customer communication support
  • Support Rental Revenue Management Specialists with resort property content and media management on direct and third-party distribution channels
  • Weekly call metrics and voice-channel revenue reporting assessment
  • Third-party vendor accounting, audit, processing, and reporting support
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule that includes evenings and weekends

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED or Associate degree preferred or equivalent. Call center, timeshare or hotel revenue and inventory management experience is a plus.
  • 2 years minimum experience or equivalent in inbound telephony or voice channel reservations in leisure travel or short-term nightly rental hospitality desired. Demonstrated success in leisure travel and/or hospitality sales experience desired.
  • Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required. Prior use of cloud-based distribution and channel management systems ideal. Use of central reservations and/or property management system a plus.
  • A service-oriented combination of persuasion and sales skills are necessary to succeed in this role. Analytical and assessment skills are helpful.
