Job Description

Purpose:

Manages corporate, association, resort, and development projects including company personnel, general contractors, consultants as assigned, assuring all projects are completed on time and within approved project budgets with scopes at a level of quality consistent with or exceeding established Bluegreen Design Standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assigned duties as delegated by the Director or VP, Design and Development.
  • Manages delivery process for assigned projects including field manager consultants, project management consultants, FF&E Managers, purchasing agents and contractors.
  • Assists Director or VP with design, contracting, and procurement – including external designers, FF&E Managers and procurement agents.
  • Assists with communication with stake holders within the department and other company personnel.
  • Prepares and reviews contracts, change orders, RFP/RFQ’s, pay applications, meeting minutes, inspection reports, letters, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and any other documents or means necessary to fully deliver assigned projects.
  • Prepares reporting as required communicating updates to the project’s scope, budget and schedule including project forecasts with overall cost to complete projects and schedule guidance.
  • Review plans for compliance to Bluegreen Design Standards, inspects construction projects, conduct investigations and provide recommendations related to planning, design, construction, order changes, design modifications and contract administration to assure compliance with established rules, regulations, guidelines and procedures.
  • Liaison between resort teams as assigned, corporate office executives and architects, contractors and other outside agencies; respond to inquiries and provide information concerning construction activities; consult local officials to assure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Maintains internal and external contacts with interface organizational areas, vendors, customers, etc., to obtain information, cooperation, and results.
  • Assists in evaluating potential project acquisitions, solicits bids and proposals for site work and building construction and negotiates contract terms and conditions.
  • Assists with all requirements for governmental permits and inspections and supports the needs of the Legal Department relating to the project registration process.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5-7 years’ Experience in Architecture, Construction, Development or related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced competence with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate to advanced competence with construction management software.
  • Intermediate to advanced competence with Microsoft Project or P6.
  • Deadline-oriented, strategic thinking, business-oriented, results-oriented, decision-maker, self-directed and self-starter.
  • Assertive, creative, strong analysis, evaluation, and planning capabilities.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Strong inter-personal relationship and communication skills to negotiate and obtain desired results, as well as to coach people, and to interact with interface organizational areas, customers, vendors, etc., team spirit and enthusiastic.
