Purpose:
The Mortgage Research Specialist will provide service to Mortgage customers by responding to their inquiries via the '800' phone lines and the Mortgage Escalation database.
Responsibilities:
- The Mortgage Research Specialist will quote loan payoffs, provide loan payment history information, prepare loan payoff quotes, provide information relative to loan payments, and ACH transactions.
- Act as liaison between the Vacation Club sales sites and Vacation Club owners.
- Work with the Mortgage Credit Department to resolve customer disputes.
- Respond to credit verification requests. Update customer records on the LSAMS system.
- Order loan payment coupons and respond to customer correspondence.
- Responsible for general administrative support, data entry, assist with other specific projects and any miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D)
- Minimum of one year experience in the mortgage environment.
- One to three years of experience in customer service, call center, and data entry.
- Concepts, policies and procedures as they relate to loans and loan documentation.
- Customer service and quality fundamentals, MS Office.
- Strong customer service skills, detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization
