The Hotel & Resort Inventory Manager is focused on understanding and anticipating supplier behavior to maximize availability and operating margins. This individual will manage inventory requirements and weekly forecasting to ensure necessary inventory for vacation package demand. This role will also monitor tour slots and partner with the field to maximize tour flow. A technical role reporting to the Director, Travel Partnerships will also work closely with Resort Inventory Management, Contact Center, BI, Finance and Field Sales and Marketing. Excellent attention to detail required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute inventory management and forecasting processes to ensure available inventory to fulfill vacation packages and maximize production
- Liaison for Resort Inventory Mngt, forecast resort inventory availability and usage. Strong working knowledge of AS400, BI Reporting
- Participate in the budgeting process regarding hotel/resort and other fulfillment requirements
- Monitor tour slot/sales capabilities and work with sites to maximize tour flow
- Drive specific hotel and/or Bluegreen resort inventory usage
- Provide a weekly updated forecast 12 months out for previews by site
- Provide a weekly updated analysis to ensure allotments are sufficient and identify hot spots, including data pertaining to evolving stop sale notifications/ special event dates
- Analyze weekly reports to ensure all products are competitively priced
- Identify reporting needs to proactively determine pacing, market trends, and other key factors that would determine potential inventory obstacles
- Coordinate with the sites to determine budgeted tours, by day, to manage inventory properly and ensure adequate staffing to accommodate all tours
- Monitor turndown reports and turn away reports to identify room need areas. Act as funnel for escalated room inventory requests from CX and Reservations
- Support the Hotel Procurement Team with hotel prioritization and room night requirements
Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
2. 3+ years of experience in inventory management and/or hotel procurement required
3. Previous leadership experience required.
4. Timeshare experience a plus
4. Should understanad GDS and other travel inventory systems
5. Must possess yield management, travel inventory and strong analytical skills
