Job Description

Purpose:

Responsible for supporting human resource activities. Provides advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. Participate in the resolution of policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. Organizes and oversees the administration of the resorts training efforts to ensure the they are directly tied to the company's and site's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating human resources activities to include employment, compensation administration, dealing with day-to-day personnel issues, benefits enrollment, training and development.
• Review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications before forwarding to hiring manager; conduct pre-screening interviewing of qualified candidates.
• Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources.
• Review payroll to ensure accuracy before it is sent for final processing.
• Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses as needed in partnership with leadership.
• Facilitate associate surveys; plan and execute with department leaders, all associate engagement
meetings embracing quality express, monthly motivational meetings and appreciation events.
• Assist in providing guidance to department management regarding associate disciplinary issues; partner with Corporate
• Human Resources on more advanced situations or when dealing with more serious issues such as sexual harassment, discrimination, FMLA/ADA.
• Provide guidance to department leaders regarding company policies, procedures, and performance
documentation. Coordinate the resolution of performance/policy related problems and issues. On final written disciplinary termination recommendations, partner with Corporate Human Resources.
• Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
• Develop and recommend operational and procedural improvements.
• Working knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Florida employment.
• Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested.
• Responsible for conducting new hire orientation
• Responsible for reading guest comment cards, analyzing department trends and working with department leadership to determine appropriate training needs.
• Oversee the coordination of the training room to ensure well prepared for all meetings.
• Make training list for employees to sign; prepare documents for participants to take with them after training.
• Assist Department Managers with the quarterly meetings.
• Assist Security Director with monthly safety trainings and New Hire Safety Orientation.
• Manage and archive the training records of the company, which includes training plans and programs, attendees, training results and training results, and distribution of training certificates.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Human Resources Administrator or Assistant Manager experience of at least 3-5 years, preferably in the timeshare industry.
Customer service and quality fundamentals, MS Office Suite. Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines. Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
Must be able to work under stress. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately, strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
