Purpose:
 

The Director, Inventory and Revenue Management will focus on how to create and manage demand, to maximize utilization of resort inventory across the Company. The primary responsibility is to prioritize or create programs to drive occupancy to limit broken teeth nights and drive occupancy in prime and off seasons. They will establish the protocol for who uses available inventory.  This role will play a critical role in maximizing revenues and reducing expenses related to inventory monetization to enable us to continue to expand.  The role will achieve its goals working through external partnerships, and other internal teams including Business Development / Inventory (including Rentals), Sales, Marketing, Development, Resort Management, Call Centers, and IT.


Responsibilities:
 

• Maintain a detailed understanding of Bluegreen Resorts and how units are occupied.  

• Establish protocols for who will use inventory.

• Monitor the forecasted occupancy vs actual usage and recommend modifications as needed.

o The role will continually monitor the occupancy of Bluegreen Resorts by customer segments, ownership types, products, rates, and “fences” that provide encouraging “buy up” opportunities into the Vacation Ownership

• Participate in design of promotions and other marketing initiatives. o Ensure we engage marketing firms and use online sales strategies, as necessary.

• Responsible to work within each market to understand the varying preferences and demands to assist in the development of new programs (ie; group rentals / meeting space; localized bundled vacation packages, StayCations) and pricing to drive additional occupancy.    

o Monitor each market to determine if and when localized or regional Hotel Sales teams should be added to support outbound business opportunities.

 o Ensure programs have innovative marketing plans and entice the prospects we want to attract.

• Plan with Marketing, Sales, Resort Management, call center support teams and IT in a manner that best utilizes systems and resources to achieve company goals.

• Participate in Inventory Monetization financial reviews and budgeting as necessary.


Requirements:
 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent

• 10+ years of Inventory and Revenue Management experience with demonstrated success in Hospitality Management or Vacation Ownership, implementation of new products, and development stakeholder partnerships.

• High level of proficiency in developing clear and concise presentations for senior level executive consumption.

• Open, collaborative leadership style that promotes integrity and continuous improvement. Develops trust among team members and across the Company; is a person of high integrity
