Job Description


Directs the development and execution of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) strategies and oversees the day-to-day use of the HR systems to maximize efficiency, maintain information integrity/security and deliver exceptional customer service. Identifies opportunities to leverage HRIS technology to realize a continuous return on the investment of current and new technologies. HRIS technology includes but is not limited to payroll, time reporting, compensation, benefits, applicant tracking systems, performance management, learning management and management reporting.

Develops and maintains partnerships across all functional HR areas, field offices, senior management and vendors to integrate solutions in support of business objectives. In addition, this position will contribute a high level of energy and organization to currently planned projects to ensure their timely and budgeted completion as well as identifying areas where the HRIS processes or systems can be improved or streamlined to increase their strategic value.

• Provide strategic insight to HRIS Project implementation, assisting HR leadership in designing long term HRIS planning and evaluating vendor products.
• Lead the design of HRIS project life cycle from initial goals to final implementation of HRIS initiatives.
• Partner with the leadership team to ensure successful adoption of new HRIS initiatives.
• Act as the subject matter expert on HRIS projects and implementation for all company segments and locations.
• Understand how we can fully leverage trends and technologies to support our business needs, including a tight partnership with system vendors and various User Communities to ensure awareness of future upgrades and maximizing functionality in general.
• Design and implement training programs related to all Human Resource systems, encompassing the entire company and its subsidiaries as well as making sure the cultural change management is in place for new processes and procedures related to the systems.
• Manage all interfaces and integrations into other internal and external business or benefits systems.
• Lead the management of system upgrades and testing.
• Perform regular HRIS data audits to insure system accuracy or to determine areas in need of additional training/resources.
• Special focus on metrics and analytics with ability to create reports and dashboards as required by the business; analyze needs and help establish a strategy and tools to meet organizational needs for HR data/metrics. Design standard reports on key metrics for inclusion on HR scorecards.
• Provide regular reporting and updates on all HRIS projects for the VP, Total Rewards to report to the Executive Committee.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, audit requirements and Company procedures.
• Manage the vendor efficiencies, service level agreements, contracts and contract renewals.
• Manage the HRIS budget and provide input into variances.
• Serve as a liaison between HR and IT.
• Oversee and provide direction to HRIS department staff members.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Human Resources or related field required. Must have a combination of IS and HR education and experience.
A minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in Human Resource Information Systems, with at least 5-7 years as a manager
in HRIS.
Advanced technical knowledge and use of HRIS system, Ultimate software (UltiPro). Expert with Benefits and Payroll HRIS administration. Timekeeping and incentive compensation systems knowledge a plus. Expert with commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within HRIS field. Proficient with MS Office Suite, and use of UltiPro BI reporting tools, including relational database concepts.
Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. HRIM certification a plus.
Project Management - Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills with proven experience leading large scale HR systems implementation. Ability to break work down into manageable phases and align a cross-functional team to meet goals and deadlines. Skillful in managing change effectively, always mindful of technology, people, business processes and system implications.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills; attention to detail is a must.
