Purpose:
In this newly created department, the Procurement Spend Analyst will provide data and develop reports to assist the enterprise in developing effective business sourcing strategies aligned with annual goals.  Using strong business acumen, analytical and technical skills, this role will build tools and processes to facilitate reporting and insights so other internal functions can see quickly and accurately how our business units, processes and suppliers are performing. The Procurement Spend Analyst will be involved from project inception to design through to delivery, ensuring that the reports deliver high-quality and relevant data so that our business can grow intelligently.  
Responsibilities:
• Manage, track and monitor spend/savings across all categories (including developing spend taxonomies) • Produce spend/savings reports and metrics supporting sourcing, cost savings and supplier management  • Maintain and interpret spend and savings data to measure supplier performance to identify trends, gaps, and overlaps (data gathering & aggregation, record cleansing, vendor categorization, spend cube creation) • Identify spend under management opportunities for potential cost savings and/or vendor upgrades • Perform market analysis, identify relevant data and trends as required • Work with internal/external partners to help shape and drive the development of procurement reporting and analytics platforms • Build and maintain effective and productive relationships with stakeholders • Support and participate in supplier QBR’s (quarterly business reviews) • Support multiple savings program initiatives, both on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis • Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor or department leadership
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree • 7+ years minimum experience preferably in either finance, supply chain, sourcing, and/or procurement • Advanced MS Excel skills required; Proficient in MS PowerPoint & Word • Proficient in Spend Analytics software (i.e. SpendHQ, Spend 360…) • Experience with procurement and sourcing tools (preferably Coupa) • CPSM or CPM desirable • High level of adaptability to manage the changing needs of the business as they arise. • Strong analytical skills including problem solving and critical thinking skills. • Overall desire to embrace and improve processes, technology. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative env
